The Economic Development Department is designed to provide a range of business and economic development assistance. From entrepreneurs to large corporations and from retail to manufacturing companies, the Lockhart Economic Development Department is here to work with your business and can include both financial and non-financial assistance depending upon the needs of the business.

The Lockhart Economic Development Department works collaboratively with other departments in the City of Lockhart, the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Caldwell County Hispanic Chamber as well as with many regional economic development organizations, business organizations, and financial institutions.  The Economic Development Department and Lockhart Economic Development Corporation represent Lockhart as a regional partner in Opportunity Austin and the Greater San Marcos Partnership. Thus, the Economic Development Department is a resource for businesses not only through its own programs and staff, but also through a network of individuals and organizations.
