WORKFORCE TRAINING

Lockhart residents and employers benefit from Austin Community College’s new downtown campus, which brings career-focused training, certification programs, and workforce development opportunities right into the community.

Lockhart was annexed into the ACC district in 2024, unlocking in-district tuition fees, career counseling, and job placement assistance.

ACC purchased the historic Ford building downtown to turn into a permanent education center, and workforce training hub.

Dual-credit, job-training, and certification programs—from CDL and HVAC to welding and more—are already available through Lockhart High School, ACC, and Workforce Solutions.
